Texture is moderately fine but uneven due to the presence of the large rays.
Vessels are moderately small to just medium-sized, angular, solitary and in radial groups of two to four.
Wood parenchyma is abundant, as apotracheal bands.
Rays are of two distinct sizes, medium-sized and very fine; medium-sized rays distinct to the naked eye on all surfaces.
USES
Used for house construction and is also suitable for ornamental turnery.
