1. INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this Guideline is to provide guidance and references to clients of Licensing and Enforcement Division in dealing with registration activities as an Exporter, Supplier, Processor, Jetty Operator, and Timber Grader.

2. BACKGROUND
Section 13, Act 105 of Malaysian Timber Industry Board states that "No person shall carry on business as an exporter, a jetty operator, timber grader, suppliers or timber processor, unless he is registered under this Act".

3. PURPOSE OF REGISTRATION·
To ensure that timber exporter and supplier adhere to the Board’s policy.· To regulate and monitor the trade and marketing and distribution of timber for export and domestic markets.· To arrange and assist in uniting the wood-based industries.· To gather information and to administer the Wood-based Industries Records.

4. CLIENTS CHARTER
To ensure that the applications for registration as exporter, supplier, processor timber grader and jetty operator in the wood based industries are approved within 3 working days from receipt of complete applications.

5. REGISTRATION AND ANNUAL FEES
Payments of annual fees for approved application are as the following amounts:-
